Algarrobo is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in Andalusia, on the coast of La Axarquía. Arenas and Sayalonga lie to the north, Vélez-Málaga to the east and west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Its terrain mixes coast, hills, valleys and gullies.
The main settlement is Algarrobo, a village of Arab architecture a few kilometres from the coast. Other towns in the municipality are Algarrobo Costa, Mezquitilla and Trayamar.
