Algaida is a town and municipality in the Pla de Mallorca comarca, in the centre of the island and east of Palma. It borders Palma, Santa Eugènia, Sencelles, Lloret de Vistalegre, Montuïri and Llucmajor.

The main town has several areas with their own names: el Campet, el Colomer, la Tanqueta and el Porrassar. Two traditional villages, Pina and Randa, also belong to the municipality. From Palma you get here on the Ma-15 road.
