Get to know Centre

Nucli antic d'Alcoi is the oldest neighborhood of Alcoy, and its later expansions date from before 1925. Its main point is the nineteenth-century Plaza de España, home to the city hall and the archpriest church.

It is boxed in by the Riquer and Molinar ravines and borders the Zona Alta to the south. The Sant Jordi bridge, the Canalejas viaduct and the Cristina bridge connect it to other neighborhoods. It was declared a historic-artistic ensemble on 15 December 1982.
