Get to know Adeje

Adeje is a municipality on Tenerife, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the fifth most populous on the island. It is a major tourist centre, with the highest concentration of five-star hotels in Europe and the Siam Park water park. Together with Arona and San Miguel de Abona it forms the South Tenerife metropolitan area.

Its seat, the town of Adeje, lies a few kilometers inland at the western end of the TF-1 motorway. The Barranco del Infierno gorge is within the municipality, and the Playa de las Américas area draws much of the tourism. Besides tourism and business, farming here grows grapes, tomatoes and bananas.
