A Pobra de Trives is a municipality in the province of Ourense, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is the capital of the comarca of Tierra de Trives and the seat of its own judicial district. It lies on the northwestern slope of the Sierra de Queija.

In the nineteenth century it was an important meeting place for the Galician nobility. Today the municipality combines farming and livestock with cultural, rural and mountain tourism. The Manzaneda ski resort, the only one in Galicia, is close by.
