A Estrada is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, Galicia, and the capital of the comarca of Tabeirós - Terra de Montes. It lies some 24 km southeast of Santiago de Compostela, and the river Ulla forms much of its northern edge. The town grew in the nineteenth century along the road from Santiago to Ourense, which gave it its name.

Covering 281 km², it is one of the largest municipalities in the province, with more than fifty parishes such as Guimarei, Berres, Callobre, Santeles, Arnois, Codeseda and Ouzande. Manor houses dot the area, led by the Pazo de Oca with its baroque gardens and ponds, along with the Pazos de Guimarei and Ribadulla. Hiking routes follow the Ulla, Vea and Liñares valleys through Atlantic woodland.
